The Care Contract framework provides guaranteed SLA coverage for corrective maintenance IT issues such as system failures and mission critical incidents. In addition, clients have the benefit of drawing on MCS IT resources to assist with proactive and planned project based engagements. For example, an MCS client may be have a requirement to deliver a software implementation project though lack an in-house application specialist which is needed for a specific aspect of the project delivery. In this example, the Care Contract would allow the client to obtain the much needed expertise locally from MCS on a temporary basis. This 'on demand' ability to access seasoned technical resources allows IT managers to extend their IT delivery capability and overcome the unpredictable demands that IT projects often bring without having to increase head count or retrain/refocus existing staff.
