The creation of a sound Disaster Recovery Plan is an essential and unavoidable task. MCS posesses extensive experience in Disaster Recovery solutions in the Caribbean region including the design, implementation and on-going management of these solutions for international and Cayman-based organizations. Many clients do not realize that the DR solution can also provide “High Availability” of protected systems in the event of a localized failure of a particular service such as e-mail. This “benefit” often assists the business case to the Management Team who may be reluctant to spend on a solution for an event “that may never happen”.

Typically we have developed a “packaged solution” for DR that significantly reduces the time (and cost) of delivering a “working” solution. Our services include the development of the plan itself and procedures for testing the plan before you actually need to use it. Our methodology addresses risk assessment, scope definition, network requirements, vendor selection, documentation, training, and the first recovery test.

We are actively involved in implementation of secure DR solutions for several of the organizations who have established a presence in certified DR centers. Outside of Cayman, we also work with clients who require an “off-island” solution in other “off-shore” jurisdictions, or in “Corporate” headquarters. In many cases MCS is responsible for the ongoing management of the DR sites for those clients.
